Tanya Burr Lipglosses

When Tanya announced the release of her lipgloss and nail varnish collection, I knew I would have to get them!
I decided on two of the lipglosses (I'm trying to save money at the moment, otherwise I definitely would have bought them all!) I went for 'Picnic In the Park' and 'Lets Travel The World'.

'Picnic In The Park'
'Lets Travel The World'
I was really impressed to find both lipglosses have amazing colour pay off, whilst still giving a beautiful gloss to the lips, without being at all sticky! They both also smell like strawberries and cream, which is a massiveee bonus, as well as lasting for a really good length of time. If I'm honest, theres not one thing I can fault!

I am definitely going to have to get more of these, as I absolutely love them, and you can't really go wrong at £6.99!

I am also going to do a separate post on what look I would wear with these colours, so stay tuned!

How To- Toning Brassy/Yellow Hair

Hello lovely readers,
At the beginning of last year I decided to take the risk of dying my hair a lighter shade of blonde, using shop bought hair dye. I already knew it was quite likely my hair may go slightly yellow, but since I had blonde hair already, I thought there would be much less risk involved. Obviously I was wrong, that's why I'm here to help anyone else in the same position as I was. (I had VERY yellow hair.)

Firstly, don't panic. Although you may feel like your orange/yellow hair cannot be fixed, it definitely can! and pretty much straight away. When I washed the dye out of my hair, I was almost ready to run to the shop to buy a darker colour, in hope it would cover it up (this would have probably just made my hair a darker shade of orange and damaged it further, so I'm glad I didn't!) Instead, I purchased some toner, in the form of shampoo and conditioner.
Purple cancels out yellow, so I knew I had to look for the darkest purple colour shampoo I could, which was how I found the provoke touch of silver, twice a week brightening shampoo.
(For some reason some cameras don't like picking up purple colours, so this looks fairly blue, but as you can see, it's a pretty dark shade.)

It was super cheap from savers, and it made such a difference to my hair after just one wash, so I would definitely recommend this one! (I would also suggest buying the conditioner for an even bigger difference.) I have used this twice now, and my hair is already so close to being the blonde shade I wanted.
In between using the Provoke shampoo, I have used the John Frieda sheer blonde colour renew shampoo and conditioner. These are a bit lighter than the other shampoo, but have definitely helped make a difference! They also feel less harsh on my hair, and leave it feeling soft, and smelling amazing!

Alongside these, I would definitely recommend using a hair repair mask to help put the moisture back into your hair. I have used the Toni&Guy reconstruction mask, which has made my hair a lot shinier and healthy looking.
Thank-you so much for reading. I hope this has been helpful to some of you!
If you have any hair tips you'd like to share, please let me know!

Trilogy - Rosapene Night cream

Happy Thursday Everyone! I Hope you're having a good week!

All the way back in December 2013 I treated myself to the You-Beauty advent calendar, which included this little treat. I have recently rediscovered it and completely loved it and therefore thought it deserved it's own post. So here goes!
I wouldn't normally go for a high end night cream as I don't believe that 'you get what you pay for' always apply's. In a lot of cases, it seems you are just paying extra for the brand name, but this little beauty proved me wrong. It was unlikely that I would have ever tried this without it being in my calendar, so I'm really glad that it was! It has somewhat changed my opinion, and I will definitely be branching out a little more often.
It glides onto your skin really nicely, and sinks in straight away, meaning you aren't left with a horrible layer of grease on your face! After the first night of using this, I had already noticed a big difference in my skin (It gets quite dry in the winter, and when I woke up, it was soooo much softer) and after a couple of uses, my skin also looked a lot brighter and healthier!

It also smells amazinggg! At first I didn't really like the smell, as it smells quite lavendery (if that's a word) and I'm normally not a huge fan of that scent. Somehow though, I have become addicted to it, and I will definitely have to be re-purchasing it!

If, like me, you normally go for cheaper skin products (thinking price doesn't make a difference) I would definitely recommend splashing out that little bit extra on this, as it really does make a difference!

Thank you for reading!

Beauty Hall

Firstly, I'd like to wish every one of you a very happy new year! I'd also like to take this opportunity to say thank you very much for reading my blog, and I hope your year is full of happiness!

Recently, I have made a few beauty purchases on things which I love. I've also been given a couple of things as presents, by some very lovely people, so I thought I'd share them!
Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick - 01 Rossetto
Being a sucker for red lipstick, I completely love this colour! It gives a glossy finish (which I like, as I normally stick to matte shades) and doesn't need to be re-applied for a good few hours.
Loreal Super Liner Perfect Slim - Instense Black
Having tried and failed at doing liquid liner for a few years now, I was sooooo happy when I came across this beauty! I have re-purchased it many times since, and I can safely say it's one of the best make-up items I have ever used, and is perfect for doing winged liner!

Real Techiques Duo Fiber Brushes - Face Brush, Countour Brush and Eye Brush
I had wanted some new make-up brushes for a while and since I had already tried and loved the other Real Techniques brushes, I decided to go for these Duo Fibre ones. I use both the Face brush and Contour brush to apply powder (the contour one is good for smaller areas), and the eye brush, for what it's for - the eyes! They are all sooo soft, and I think they do a wonderful job!

Soap and Glory, Sugar Crush Range - Body Butter, Body Scrub and Body Wash
If you haven't already, you need to smell these!  They smell like creamy, wonderful, fresh, limey, yummy goodness (clearly I'm not very good at describing, but basically I want to eat them!). They also leave your skin super soft, which is a bonus!

Lush- Candy Mountain Bubble Bar
I've had a lot of people recommend this to me, so I thought I would give it a try! It smells amazinggg, gives a pink tint to your bath and makes bubbles, what more could you want?

p.s I hope to be blogging a lot more from now on, so stay tuned!
